Would you like a new theatre in the middle of Bowral?

Wingecarribee Shire Council is exhibiting a concept plan for the redevelopment of Bowral Memorial Hall into a 300-seat theatre (about 120 seats larger than the Mittagong Playhouse). The facility would be used to attract touring shows and performances and would be available for use by community organisations such as SHYAC.

SHYAC is preparing a submission to the Council on the concept plan and we would like your input.

For the full concept plan, click here.

Comment has been invited on the following:

  • The need for this type of performance venue in the Shire;
  • The specific proposal;
  • The need to refurbish the hall in general;
  • Affect on existing users and users of other venues;
  • Any other matters relating to the proposal.
SHYAC will use your input to prepare a detailed submission covering each of these aspects, but you can comment on as many or as few of these as you like.

If you would like to make your own, individual submission to the Council on this matter, we encourage you to do so.

In order to complete our submission on time, we need your feedback by Sunday, November 7. You can send it via email or post to SHYAC, PO Box 219, Bowral NSW 2576. If you have any questions, please email or phone us on (02) 4801 0622.
