Inside Camelot Castle, early on the morning of King Arthur’s birthday. The castle is bright and decorated with colourful flags and banners showing King Arthur’s crest. The courtiers who were frozen come to life and perform their opening number.
So begins SHYAC's junior production for 2011. The cast will be aged between 8 and 15 years.
What a Knight
is a tale of King Arthur, his crazy family and court, and the Knights of the Roundtable - but not as you've ever seen them before. It's a story full of princesses, Sirs, squires, courtiers and even a dragon! And don't forget Merlin. It's pretty much your average Middle Ages castle with characters such as Sir Render, Sir Curity, Sir Cumference, the Black Knight, Marvin the Magic Mirror, Black Bill, Scratch the Guard and Jake the Jolly Jester.
The script was written by Craig Hawes. Director Mandy Bransgrove will be supported by Julie Blanchard (Musical Director), Monique Bastin (Choreographer), Cindy Pryma (Creative Director) and other familiar SHYACians.
